My name is Jakob and I'm a freelance videographer and photographer based in Vienna.
Since my childhood, I have been fascinated by photography and films. In school, I discovered my enthusiasm for media technology and video production.
Later I was studying media technology at the FH St. Pölten in Austria. In my time there, I produced several commercial videos, music videos and short films.
Then I was working at weCreate Germany for 2 years, an agency for innovative creator marketing on YouTube, TikTok & Instagram
In 2023, I became self-employed as a videographer in Vienna and have since been working on video productions for companies, bands, and creators.
My work is divided into two areas: creative productions for musicians and creators for social media or personal projects and professional video productions for companies, such as commercial, image, and recruiting videos.
Video Production
Here, quality is my top priority. To produce an appealing image, I focus heavily on storytelling, framing, and lighting. My goal is to tell stories that are not only captivating, but also emotionally moving. I ensure a smooth visual transition between scenes, which enhances the story and keeps the viewer's attention constant.
Beyond these technical aspects, the creative collaboration with my clients is important to me. I firmly believe that the best content comes from a symbiosis of vision and execution. Therefore, I invite you to be a part of this creative process and to actively shape it.

Post-Production
I am editing my own productions as well as other projects from various YouTube creators.
With my advanced workflow, I am very quick in editing videos that maintain high watch time. This means I edit the videos in such a way that they make dramaturgical sense. I omit things that are not relevant and would cause viewers to lose interest, such as meandering conversations, filler words, etc. In the editing process, I add graphics and video clips that are culturally relevant and fit the theme.
I'm using different styles of editing for different video-genres.
To round off the concept, I work with suitable sound effects and music that reflect the mood of the videos
Lately I'm also offering a 1 on 1 course for video-editors to improve their workflow and automate it partially. Repetitive steps have to be made very fast or can be automated, not the editing itself. For that, I'm analyzing the workflow and write my own scripts to control mouse and keyboard inputs. Further, I'm working with various plugins to balance out the shortcomings of the editing-software.
